Location:-
Orissa is surrounded by West Bangal on the north-east, Jharkhand on the north, Chhatisgarh on the west and Andhra Pradesh on the south, while the Bay of Bengal washes its shores on the east. It is located between the parallels of 17 degree 49'E and 22° 34'N latitudes and the meridians of 81degree 27'E and 87degree 29'E longitudes.

Weather:-
Orissa enjoys a typical tropical climate, mainly because of its proximity to the sea. Summers are very hot and monsoons, very obliging here. Average annual rainfall in the state is about 200 cm. Orissa experiences three main seasons, namely summer season, winter season and monsoons. In the summer season, goes well above 40 deg C and the minimum temperature dips to as low as 7 deg C in winter.

Airports in Orissa receive flights from many parts of the country and also outside. The major Airports in Orissa which you can come to is the Biju Patnaik International Airport which is situated in the city of Bhubaneswar. Runway of the airport extends to a length of 5850 feet and elevates to 146 feet in height.
